XESÚS CONSTELA, born in Ferrol in 1963 but resident in Poio (Pontevedra), entered the world of literature by the hand of the book of stories The Human Proportions, a work awarded with the Torrente Ballester and the Spanish Critics awards in 2003.
Collaborator of the supplement Nordesía of Diario de Ferrol between 2004 and 2009, he published the novel Book of alchemies in 2007, and Shakespeare distilled, which won the Garcia Barros Award, in 2008 .
In this same year, under the title of How the First Alphabet was Made, he published the translation and adaptation of two short stories by Rudyard Kipling.
The novel 15,724 was released in 2012. Apotheosis of the Hangers was published in 2015 , and The Breaking Landscape in 2016 .
He has also participated as an author in several collective works: Pontevedra, Oranges and Lemon Trees, published by the Pontevedra City Council in 2015 , and Plug & Play. Galician anthology of erotic science fiction, published in 2017, year in which he also collaborated in the volume Tales of the Sacaúntos; Romasanta the convict published by the Vicente Risco Foundation with the story “Lino in the Fog”.
In the year 2018 he published the novel Lying Lisa and the story «Some Approaches to Hypnosis in the Romasanta Case«, written jointly with the writers Mariña Pérez Rei and Antonio Manuel Fraga for the volume Tales of Sacaúntos, Romasanta and the Women.
In 2021 he got the novel The Weight of the Brain published.
